W (or dub-ya) - Pics of Josh Brolin as George W. Bush

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

First-look pics of Josh Brolin as George W. Bush in Oliver Stone’s controversial up-coming movie W. (or dub-ya).  For those of you who don’t recognize him, Josh Brolin is the actor who starred in No Country For Old Men.  (he also started out his career as Brand in the movie Goonies)

Filming begins in less than two weeks according to EW.com.  The movie follows Bush’s rise to power.  This should be a pretty interesting one…

Scarlett Johansson Engaged….NOOOOOOOOOO

Tuesday, May 6th, 2008

It’s official.  SoItGoes will likely break down into a heaping pile of teary-eyed mess once he finds out.  Sorry dude.  Today is a very sad day.

Scarlett Johansson is getting married to Ryan Reynolds.  With roles in movies like Van Wilder, Waiting and Blade Trinity, Reynolds is actually a pretty cool actor in my book.   However, he is still taking one of our favorite curvaceous vixens off the market.

If history is any indication of the past, Reynolds was already engaged to Alanis Morissette…and that didn’t work out.  We can only hope the same happens here.

Scarlett Johansson, a Eulogy in pictures.  Enjoy…

He’s Just a Little Guy

Monday, April 28th, 2008

My ode to great Midget….uh hum, I mean Little People movie characters.

Just remember, they are people too.

Hanz from Freaks:

As the circus owner who makes the mistake of marrying an “average size” woman, Hanz is slowly poisoned by his wife who wants to take control of the circus.  Although Hanz, the child-man midget is a bad-ass, his crew is even crazier.  They take revenge on the woman at the end…Freak-style.

Master Blaster from Mad-Max Thunderdrome:

Master is the brains, Blaster is the brawns.  Together they are master blaster…..and Master Blaster runs Boarder Town…

Willow from Willow:

By far the coolest dwarf actor on the planet.  Warrick Davis, known best for his role as the title character in Willow, also played the role of Wicket the Ewok in Return of the Jedi.

“Semi-Pro” Bear Eats Trainer’s Neck

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008

A man lost his life yesterday at a “Big Ass” animal training camp. This particular camp has bears, large cats and other animals that can eat you. The animals are trained for photo shoots and movies (our entertainment). Although, I appreciate seeing a snow leopard next to a swim suit model and a bear chasing Will Ferrel around a ring, I am not sure it was worth this man’s life. Has Hollywood not moved past this histroric tactic? I recently saw a movie where dragons flew through the sky and obviously they did not use real dragons. I am sure there are many purist out there that demand a real bear be in a scene to ensure the integrity of the scene, but is this worth this man losing his life? I guess this same guy may have been training a bear for the circus if Hollywood was not the life line of this camp. As Striker Murdock would say, “When animals attack… nobody is safe!”

Harold and Kumar are Back

Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

They found White Castle….now what.

Harold and Kumar and coming back to theaters this weekend.  This new installment to the franchise begins the same morning that the stoner duo eat White Castle in the first movie.  If you remember, Harold learns that Maria, the love of his live, is heading to Amsterdam…….well of course they have to go.  Evidently, there is a mix-up on the flight, and they are charged as terrorists.

If this movie is anything like the first, then we can be sure to be in for a ride of drug induced, sexually charged comedy.  Good combination if you ask me.

You can expect Niel Patrick Harris to reprise his role of Niel Patrick Harris….who the heck knows what Doogie will be up to in this movie.  Last time he was “trippin’ balls on X” while liking car seats and leaving “love stains” in the back seat of Harold’s car…

We do know that they drop in on president Bush, spend time in Jail and have half the country trying to “apprehend” the terrorists…..

Anyway, no matter what these two get into this time, I’m sure it will be hilarious.  Below you can find the rated R preview.  Enjoy.

GI Joe the Movie - New Scarlett Picture

Friday, April 18th, 2008

New pictures from the upcoming GI Joe the movie keep coming out.  This one is of the cross-bow weilding Scarlett played by Rachel Nichols.   I have to admit, she looks pretty damn hot!  In the comic, she and Snake Eyes had a “thing.”  Wonder if that will play out in the movie.

For more info in GI Joe the movie, click here (includes casting info, movie logo etc).

See the snake eyes pics that been released.

Jordana Brewster’s Lesbian Love Scene in D.E.B.S

Tuesday, April 8th, 2008

I was flipping channels a while back and came across a movie called D.E.B.S..  I had scene the poster (below) for the movie before, and didn’t have much interest in seeing it.  Basically, it looked like another silly teen movie with girls “kicking ass.”

I WAS WRONG.

It’s not to be taken seriously.  However, it is awesome.  Why you may ask?  Because Jordana Brewster dikes out.  In-fact, the whole movie is basically about a lesbian, played by Jordan Brewster, who is trying to get a strait girl to become a lesbian as well…..and she is successful.

Throw in a good girl versus bad girl secret-agent-while-in-high-school sub plot and you have movie magic…..or atleast a couple of really great lesbian love scenes with one of the hottest girls to ever grace the big screen.

D.E.B.S Plot:(in-case you’re curious)

Four co-eds are about to graduate from a secret academy, where they have been trained since high school to become spies in the paramilitary group D.E.B.S. (Discipline, Energy, Beauty, and Strength).   These crime fighting hotties set out to save the world and keep their lipstick perfectly applied while doing so. Now the girls must combine their skills for their most important mission- to capture vexing vixen Lucy Diamond, the deadliest criminal the world has ever known. When D.E.B.S. star player, Amy, falls for Lucy, chaos erupts and the D.E.B.S. loyalty is put to the test.

This is just one of the lesbian scenes:

Atlanta Film Festival playing Dance of the Dead

Friday, April 4th, 2008

The Atlanta Film Festival comes back to the hottest city in the Southeast next week.  Starting April 10th and running through April 19th, the festival will play over 150 independent indie movies picked from over 1600 entries submitted from 66 different countries…..including Dance of the Dead.

With over 30 years of history, the festival promises to be the premier indie event in the southeast.  With the exception of opening night, the main venue (and where all the movies will be played) is Landmark Midtown Art Cinema by Piedmont Park.

The festival has some pretty cool looking movies.  The one that jumps right out at me this year is Dance of The Dead .   Filmed in Rome, GA, this horror/comedy has received some fairly decent praise for a small budget zombie flick.

Dance of the Dead Plot:  Prom night can be a time of great joy, but also a time of great anxiety what with making sure you have the right dress or tux and the right date, or if you have to worry about an oncoming zombie invasion. That’s the problem that faces the students in Dance of the Dead as the dead rise on prom night hungry for human flesh, and only the losers who couldn’t get dates are left as the town’s only defense against the zombie horde.

Dance of the Dead is playing at Landmark Midtown Art Cinema.

Date/Time:

  • April 11th - 10:00 pm
  • April 19th - 2:45 pm

I’m gonna be there April 11th!
