Romero’s Survival of the Dead DVD Cover Art Revealed
The UK cover art for the George A. Romero’s Survival of the Dead, has made its online debut with a scheduled release date of March 15, 2010 from Optimum Home Entertainment. The DVD will only be available direct-to-video in the UK on this date.
Magnet will release Survival of the Dead here in the States as part of its Ultra VOD program this spring, debuting it on VOD platforms nationwide a month before its theatrical release.
This basically means that we’ll be able to see the movie via Comcast video on demand here in Atlanta if we decide not to see it in the theater. I’m going to try wait for the theater…..I just wonder if I can…..

I am not a huge fan of the cover or the slogan… “Death isn’t what it used to be”
Lets be a little more creative. A few zombies walking with a house in the background is something a 3 year old could have come up with. I want epic shit! I want a severed eyeball with the veins hanging off looking right at you – being held up by a zombie hand – and I want the slogan to be… The undead will find you!

Yeah, looking online, there seems to be a bit of a spoiler in the cover as well. I guess one of the main characters is sitting there “zombified”.
I’ll have to go back and do an extensive review of all the zombie movie boxes from Romero. I think most of them have been weak – except maybe Land of the Dead. The Hand hanging on the fence was pretty cool. I guess big budget = Cool Movie Poster.
