I hope this is the first and last Microsoft-related post.
For those who do not know, Microsoft is releasing Windows 7 in October. The company is actively encouraging “fans” to throw “launch parties” with Windows 7 as the honored guest. At first I thought this was a super smart ad campaign that used surreal, wry humor in a viral video format. No. The video, the first in a series, is a truly serious attempt to get you, the average Windows user, to throw a party for Windows. It features 4 people who would never actually be in a room together discussing the lamest hosting ideas ever.
Key items to consider:
Microsoft thinks this will appeal to you.
Consider switching to Apple products.
These actors have committed career suicide.
They kinda act like the aliens in Invasion, the Nicole Kidman remake.
Microsoft paid a marketing firm for this idea.
So, Hanzo’s post about Michael Bay’s new adaptation of “Nightmare on Elm Street” looks like it could be a cool flick…let’s hope it’s not completely over the top with shit like this….
An evil owl has attacked two people over the past week in Cherry Park (Rock Hill, SC), according to The State newspaper.
John Taylor, supervisor with the city’s Parks, Recreation and Tourism department, said that both incidents took place around sunrise–a time when owls are typically feeding.
A portion of the park has been closed until the rogue owl can be captured.
As of press time there was no mention if the owl had somehow become blood thirsty and mutated into a creature craving human flesh, instead of its normal owl cuisine.
One thing we are certain of, however, is that for the two people attacked by the blood thirsty, mutated owl, their trip to Cherry Park this week was definitely not a “hoot.”
…except for this guy. Love the enthusiasm, sign, and paint, though!
