Daniel Murphy Behind the Back Flip
So I know everyone out there complains that baseball player’s are not “real” athletes etc etc. I think it is bullshit. Some of the defensive plays these guys make are amazing and I won’t even go into how hard it is to hit major league pitching.
Check out this play by the Mets Daniel Murphy. Pretty sweet if you ask me…..

…although I can’t re-watch this at work I did see it on Sports Center this morning. It’s one of the most incredible baseball plays I’ve seen in a long time, come to think of it…maybe ever!

It was a close play but i think he just barely got him. I love that you just know he barely sees the pitcher coming out of the cornor of his eyes and he has the balls to even attempt to flip it to him. He put the ball exactly where it needed to be.
I’m sure there was a little luck involved, but plays like that happen because you have the skills to have that kind of luck.
