Neil Young has literally been talking about making his all encompassing Archives release since the 80’s. Almost 30 years in the making with many failure to launch and speculated dates have come and gone, but today Tuesday June 2nd in the year 2009 it happened. Volume 1 was released in all 10 disc glory that can be had on blu ray, dvd, or cd. I literally have been waiting for about 14 years for this to happen (that is around the time i became obsessed with all things neil). I have not been to best buy yet because i’m afraid to walk in and see a cut out of Neil laughing at me saying HA HA I got you AGAIN!

You want more proof the end is near? How about the Kings of Leon are headlining Philips Arena…… Yeah Kings of Leon I bet some of you have never even heard of them much less would know they have four albums out. I was pretty surprised they are big enough to headline arena’s. I am not a fan of them so perhaps that drives my amazement surrounding the announcement.

These two items pretty much have sealed the deal for me. The ZOMBIES ARE COMING THE ZOMBIES ARE COMING!
