The Eyeballing Game = time suck
Looking for a way to kill 5 minutes?
Here’s a fun little game called the eyeballing game: http://woodgears.ca/eyeball/
The concept is simple: test your precision on completing such simple geometric obstacles as completing a parallelogram, bisecting an angle, finding the midpoint on a line, the center of a triangle (from all of the sides), the center of a circle, and creating a right angle. Oh, and it measures how off you are by the pixel.
The lower the score, the better. Don’t know why this is addicting, but I find myself doing it over and over again.
And I’m not very good. High (or should I say low) score so far is 4.27.

The first time i did a set of all three i got 7.9 (or something close to that).
I’m not very good at this obviously, but god damn it is addicting!

Something i found to be very interesting. when i went on pure instinct and just jumped right on it and did not really think about it Just moving the curser quickly and stopping where i “felt” was correct i scored a 4.73 which was much better then my other scores had been when i took my time and made well thought out decisions.
Obviously that was just one time but it was pretty werid how close i was going by initial instinct.

After your comments buzzed on my BB, I went to play again. First time up: 4.01. After that it was all down hill. Seems the more I try, the worse I do.
It’s funny though, I’ve gotten it correct on some shapes about 4 times, and gotten within 0.2 a couple of times as well, but every time I do it I follow it up with a 20 or 15.
I think I need to forget that site for a while and get back to work.

I do the same thing. I’ll have great close scores on 4 or 5 of them then all of a sudden BAM a big 20 on another one that i usually score well on.
The only one i seem to consistantly master and nail every time is the last one for the connecting lines. That one seems the easiest.

ok, 4.40 is as good as I could do. I’ve been waiting all week to take a crack at this. It is VERY addicting….walking away.
