I got this email from a co-worker today, and it really had me laughing.  I’ve changed names and stuff to protect the “innocent.”  I think this is a funny example of how truth and honesty haven’t been lost in today’s business world.

I have been so trying to avoid you today – but no luck.  I got your message but thought if I just ignored you, you would go away.  I will not be completely ready, so I can’t promise that I will keep you busy all day.  Do what you have to do – if you are here, I will deal with it.

Hi [Client Name],

I hope you had a great weekend.  I called and left a message earlier regarding tomorrow.  Please let me know if you will have the [Company] trial balance tomorrow along with the items listed so I can make sure it will be efficient for [another co-worker] and I to come out there.  Also, please go ahead and forward me anything you already have put together so I can get started on it.
