Iron Man II Cast Revealed

Quick what do all of these actors and actresses have in common?:
- Robert Downey Jr
- Mickey Rourke
- Scarlett Johansson
- Gwyneth Paltrow
- Samuel L Jackson
- Don Cheadle
No, it is not the newest end of the year Oscar hopeful cast by Scorsese or Spielberg it is being reported that it is the all star cast of 2010’s sequel to last summer’s comic book based blockbuster Iron Man!
Downey and Paltrow return to play their same roles, while uber sexy Scarlett Johansson joins the cast as the Black Widow. If you stayed to the end of the first Iron Man movie you saw Jackson in his role as Nick Fury. New comer Mickey Rourke recently signed on to play the villain Whip Lash while Don Cheadle will take over as Terrence Howard’s replacement as Tony Stark’s sidekick and friend Col. James Rhodes.
I was impressed with the original cast and it is great for the genre to see serious actors like this taking on these roles and giving the characters within them the just due they deserve. Don Cheadle is by far and away one of my favorite actors and as much as I will miss Howard as he is a solid performer, I feel the role is in good hands with Cheadle. Getting Rourke on board after his acting performance in the Wrestler is also a major win for the series.
This is shaping up to be quite a film now all we need is for summer of 2010 to get here!
Best Cast EVER!

Nice find mindbomb!
I am a little skeptical on how thor is going to work. I mean he is the GOD of Thunder.
We’ll see how that works out.
Captain America has a lot of potential as long as they don’t make him too goody two shoes. He has some great stories and i think the First Avenger movie will cover some of his WWII work which should be VERY cool.

That would be cool because i do love me some blood & thunder!
My favorite Viking band by far though is the mighty Amon Amarth. Their new album is dedicated to the end of Thor’s days prior to Ragnarok “Twilight of the Thunder God”
You can pretty much pick any song by them, but I would go with Gurdians of Asgard with the riding chorus of:
that was a fan made video not an offcial release.

That’s a good point. They really can’t. He’s captain friggin’ america. However, I they changed what GI Joe stood for in order to make it more “international”, so who knows what they will do….maybe Captain NATO.

I think i’m going to miss Terrence Howard in this one. Nothing against Don Cheadle or anything. I just think Terrence is great.

Striker I can see that, like i said i think Terrence is really cool too.
As a consolation price though you get Scarlett Johansson’s breast to check out throughout the movie. Surely that will make up for it?
