Screw Bush.  Screw Obama.  Screw McCain.  How about we all get together and just send home everyone in Washington that we can this year!

USA Today is reporting that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is backing a $150 Billion stimulus package to help the faltering economy.  She says the package would create jobs by investing in public works, increasing food stamps benefits and extending unemployment insurance for the long-term jobless.

Then, she said lawmakers need to “hunker down” and look closely at the federal budget for possible savings, and reconsider whether the U.S. can afford to fight “a war without end” in Iraq.

Maybe it’s because a kid is on the way in the ‘d0g’s house, but I remember a Sesame Street song that went something like, “One of these things is not like the other.  One of these things is not like the other…”

Can someone please tell me how you can call for an additional $150 BILLION in a stimulus package, mere weeks after a $700 BILLION Bailout program, and with a straight face say that we need to look closely at the federal budget to “hunker down” and find savings?  Let’s forget about the Iraq comment because it only solidifies, along with her speech prior to the first bailout bill’s vote, that she is only a partisan cook that doesn’t want to help America, just beat Republicans.

Seriously?  ANOTHER $150 Billion?  Was anyone in Washington listening to the 50% of Americans that were against the bailout?  Does anyone remember that they shoved the $700 BILLION down the American public’s throat like a kilbosa being abused at a peep show?  They swore that we needed this to boos the economy!  The world economy would come to an end if we don’t clean up Wall Street’s mess!  This is the only way the economy will rebound!  But, oh, by the way, we’re going to need another $150 BILLION IN A FEW WEEKS!!!!  If it only took a few weeks to figure out that another $150 billion is needed, how much will they take 6 months from now?

And why is the government and media so afraid of a little economic downturn?  The economy grows in cycles.  It goes up, it goes down.  Just as the seasons of the year change, the economy will have its ebbs and flows.  Sure it will suck, but wouldn’t now be a time to look at the budget closely and trim some fat without having to spend another $150 BILLION???

These guys/gals are idiots.  I might not vote for either McCain or Obama, but I’m for damn sure going to look at who’s in office right now in my district and if they’re involved with all this nonsense try and send their happy little ass home!
