OK, here’s a live blog for the McCain/Obama debate #1. Just a few insites that come through watching the debate.
“Flying yes… dying no!”
SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) — As if getting a DUI wasn’t enough, a man arrested for driving under the influence got in a lot more trouble at the police station.

Police stopped Jose Cruz on Route 60 in South Charleston Monday night for driving with his headlights off.
Then, he failed sobriety tests and was arrested.
When police were trying to get fingerprints, police say Cruz moved closer to the officer and passed gas on him. The investigating officer remarked in the criminal complaint that the odor was very strong.
Cruz is now charged with battery on a police officer, as well as DUI and obstruction.
I can’t believe this guy is being treated like the victim on this. I mean, a fart is a natural thing. Also, the guy probably wasn’t “aiming” so that he could mace in the officer’s face…just doing that little leg-lift maneuver that we all do in order to ease it out.
Pretty funny though. I laughed so hard that I almost farted.
That’s right folks…it’s official. I think 66.6% of one of my fantasies has come true.
LOS ANGELES (AP) – Lindsay Lohan has confirmed what the world has guessed: She’s been dating Samantha Ronson “a very long time.”The 22-year-old actress casually told the co-host of the syndicated radio program “Loveline” on Monday that she’s been dating the 31-year-old DJ. The pair have appeared in public and been photographed together but have never publicly commented about the extent of their relationship.
“You guys, you and Samantha, have been going out for how long now?” DJ Ted Stryker asked. “Like two years, one year, five months, two months?”
“For a very long time,” Lohan said after laughing.
Stryker interviewed Ronson while she took a break from DJing at TV Guide’s Emmy afterparty Monday night in Los Angeles. Ronson had been discussing her friendship with DJ AM and Travis Barker, who are recovering from severe burns following a plane crash in South Carolina last weekend, before putting Lohan on the phone.
Lohan’s publicist, Leslie Sloane-Zelnik, told The Associated Press on Monday that Lohan is not engaged to be married.
…by the way, who is this other “stryker” dude getting the interview. That should have been the real Striker’s interview.

I’m sure many folks out on the interweb always wonder what do those insightful folks at Zombie Chatter do when they are not busy blogging? Well for the past several months we go to Trivia on Tuesday nights together. We are the Snapple Caps and we have fought many battles at Trivia in an effort for the ultimate prize…. a $50.00 bar tab.
Last night was a momentous occasion for us all as we have come close to winning and even placed in the top three a few times but last night with a combined mental effort and fortitude of our team we finally broke through and destroyed the competition! We took home the gold in true Michael Phelps fashion!
Throughout the night we overcame adversity and even put up with mocking from our nemesis opponents. In the end none of that mattered as Mindbomb came through with the clutch final answer that pushed us over the top!
We have considered retiring. Going out on top is always nice, but John Elway sat at this crossroads years ago after finally winning his first championship……. Like Elway we have decided that one is not enough! We’ve tasted the water on Mount Olympus and Zeus be damned WE WANT MORE!

As many of you might have guessed I have already purchased this game. I have only been able to play for about an hour so far, but I must say that I really like this game. I have always wanted to pick somebody up with the force and then impale them with a lightsaber. This game allows you to do this and more. The Wii remote lends itself very well to the game play. My inner nerd is very happy.
I’m not really sure why more people don’t love this band. The lyrics are thought provoking, the music is a very original melting pot of punk, hip hop, funk, shoegaze, and every other thing you can think of. They have great harmonies. Their song Staring at the Sun may be my favorite song put out this DECADE.
The new album comes out today and if my internet connection was working I’d already have a copy of Dear Science, but because Comcast is being very Comcastic (aka not working) I have not acquired a copy yet. I’ve read a ton of reviews and they say this is a pretty good one with some of their catchiest music yet. I’ll have to do a formal review of the album after it has sunk in but seriously why are more of you Zombies not listening to this great band?
Many thanks in advance to Mindbomb for the hook up on the new album. To say i’ve been salivating all day waiting to put it in my car stereo tonight is not an exaggeration.
Check out Dancing Choose from the new album (sorry not much on youtube as far as good live videos from the new album YET):
Here is a song for their second album Return to Cookie Mountain for you all to hear the greatness i’m talking about:
