(CNN) — As horrified travelers watched, a Greyhound Canada bus passenger repeatedly stabbed and then decapitated a young man who was sitting and sleeping beside him, a witness said Thursday.

“There was a bloodcurdling scream. I was just reading my book, and all of a sudden, I heard it,” Garnet Caton, who was sitting in front of the two men, said of the Wednesday night incident west of Portage la Prairie in Manitoba.

“It was like something between a dog howling and a baby crying, I guess you could say,” Caton said. “I don’t think it will leave me for a while.”

Passengers exited the bus, and a trucker who stopped provided wrenches and crowbars to several of them so they could keep the suspect on the bus until police came, witnesses told Canadian TV.

The suspect was seized with the help of negotiators, Royal Canadian Mounted Police Sgt. Steve Colwell said.

“Everybody got off the bus. Me and a trucker that stopped and the Greyhound driver ran up to the door to maybe see if the guy was still alive or we could help or something like that,” Caton said.

“And when we all got up, we saw that the guy was cutting off the guy’s head. … When he saw us, he came back to the front of the bus, told the driver to shut the door. He pressed the button and the door shut, but it didn’t shut in time, and the guy was able to get his knife out and take a swipe at us,” Caton said.

Everyone has a Greyhound Bus story…but I think this one takes the cake. I don’t even think this has happened in the movies before.

If you have not heard it yet you will soon. Atlanta’s very own Ludacris has decided to come out and push his support for the Democratic Presidential Hopeful Barack Obama. In his new song he speculates on how since he is in Obama’s ipod (obama mentioned before that he is one of his favorite rappers) if Obama does become President he may “give Luda a special pardon if I’m ever in the slammer”.

The song attacks Obama’s enemy’s talking about a slick talking Jesse Jackson: “Jesse talking slick and apologizing for what? If you said it then you meant it how you want it have a gut!”, an old rival Hillary: “Hillary hated on you, so that bitch is irrelevant”, as well as throwing a salvo at his current main political foe John McCain: “McCain don’t belong in any chair unless he’s paralyzed”. Ludacris even takes the easy jab at the current President Bush by stating: “Bush is mentally handicapped”

It also seems to be a call to arms for all black folks to get up and support Obama: “So get off your ass, black people, it’s time to get out and vote!”

I heard the song for the first time this morning and I must admit it is poignant and clear in it’s statement. I applaud Ludacris for taking a stance and stepping out and making a political pop/rap song. There are not enough main stream rap artist who step over that line in my opinion. I don’t necesarilly agree with all he said. (Except for calling out Jesse Jackson that was spot on) but I appreciate him taking a stance.

My personal feeling is that it is disappointing to me that his rallying cry for Obama is that he is black and not based on any facts. I think if he puts this out there and gives people some reasons why he supports Obama other then him being black I would whole heartedly embrace this. Unfortunately there is not much substance in that regards. Will it get more black people out to Vote for Obama? I would wager to guess so. One thing to consider too is how many old white people hear this on the news and feel uncomfortable and say there is no way in hell I’m voting for this younger guy Obama who listens to Ludacris.

So in the end it is probably a wash.Too bad it had some potential to reach out to people with a strong message instead to me it comes across dumbed down because of the lack of true substance.

I give Ludacris an A for effort here, but probably only a C in execution.

In honor of all the teletubie eppisodes that cwbrown has in his immediate future, I thought I would post the following to help him through this.

So, i’m making this post on behalf of cwbrown because he is busy either changing diapers, not getting enough sleep, trying to sustain life solely on a strict diet of vending machine food, or being jealous that Ella has more hair than he does.  That being said, the Brown’s have a very healthy baby girl on their hands.  Looks like she is going to be a real contender…weighing in at 8 lbs, 7 oz.

Inglorious Bastards, Quentin Tarantino’s latest passion project, is finally moving forward.  After nearly a decade of stops and starts, the ultraviolent WWII drama has a script and is now looking for major studio backing.

Rumor has it that Terantino is eyeing Brad Pitt for the lead role as Lieut.   I also read that Leonardo DiCaprio may be attached.  (both are rumors for now) 

Another good rumor is that the film may be split in two, Kill Bill-Style.

The project is an original script, although the title references director Enzo G. Castellari’s 1977 movie Quel maledetto treno blindato, also known as Inglorious Bastards.

According to EW.com, this World War II period piece focuses on his familiar theme of revenge, employs retrospect and a chapter-by-chapter format, and features the director’s now-classic use of the Mexican standoff, in which multiple characters are at an impasse pointing guns at each other.

I for one will be on the lookout for this one.  If the cast pans out, I think a WWII film with the combination of Tarantino, Pitt and DiCaprio has some pretty awesome potential.

So everyone knows the New Metallica album is coming out and it is being produced by none other then the Rick Rubin AKA Rick “I will recreate your career” Rubin. The above is the new album cover for their forthcoming album  Death Magnetic. Not to be confused by the Eternal Decision album that was leaked as the new album on the internet back in January, but that is another post all in itself!

Seriously though take a look and tell me what you think it looks like. I know what came to my mind when i saw it but perhaps my mind was just in the wrong spot. I’ll hold off on what my orginal thought was when i first saw it until a couple others have a chance to chime in.

Of course all of this is inspired by my love for the Watchmen character Rorschach!
