Robert De Niro in my mind has to be considered one of the greatest actors film has ever seen. I watched Taxi Driver and Raging Bull this week two of arguably his best performances and it reminded me of how awesome he is. So I just wanted to take a moment to share a great montage clip of his work that catches some of his stronger performances. He has been in some big time movies over the years like: Godfather Part II, Taxi Driver, The Deerhunter, Raging Bull, Untouchables, Goodfellas, Cape Fear, Casino, Heat, and numerous others.
Bobby will always be one of the great ones.
I just returned back to the lovely state of Georgia after a trip to Vegas. I’ve been to Vegas a bunch over the past couple of years, and the one thing that never ceases to amaze me (and there is ton of madness in Vegas) is the prostitution. If you are a guy, walking through a casino, you will be approached by a hooker. She will solicit sex, and she will offer it for much less then you would think.
That’s crazy enough for me. However, it still seems under the radar enough to be normal. Hell, I was driving in downtown Atlanta a few weeks back and a hooker screamed out at me while I was passing by…all she said was “30 dollars.”
The thing that is just really crazy in Vegas, and the thing that I can’t get used to, is the ability to order women like pizza.
You see, there are trucks driving around the streets (mostly the main strip) with billboards built into them. These trucks offer women “to your door” by just calling the number on the truck. Refer to the pick below.
This is crazy to me. Likewise, there are also a bunch of little Mexican dudes standing on the street corners. When you walk by them, they take a stack of “order a prostitute” flyers and slap them on their knees….making you look over at them. They are trying to pass them out, but it’s just really funny when they do it.
As you walk down the strip, there are these little flyers scattered across the sidewalks. If you look down, you see them, and if you look up, you see the trucks.
I guess sex really does sell….Especially in Vegas!
