Hamilton “Hammy” Beach
coffee maker 2003-2008

Friends today is a sad day in the Crosby household; my wife and I say goodbye to Hamilton “Hammy” Beach our devoted coffee maker of 5 years. He was a good, faithful, dependable coffee maker; but alas his time has come. We laid him to rest last night.
I remember the time he “Hammy” brewed 4 pots of coffee consecutively when I was on a vengeful tear through Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, he gave me the caffeine/meth-like reflexes to beat the game. I also remember him helping me though long nights of job hunting.
He brewed with such fervor, never losing taste, never losing heat.
“Hammy” you were the best part of waking up…
You, my friend, will go down in the annals of brewing lore. I want you to know that your gold plated permanent filter will live on when we get a new (mind you, not a REPLACEMENT) coffee maker.
In the mean time your cousin French “Frenchie” Press has come to help out, she’s nice. She’s a little slow, but she makes a good cup, she takes after your side of the family…
Brew on my friend, brew on….

It’s not even my coffee maker, and I’m sad after reading this….I say we all pitch in to buy a Tombstone for Hammy.

I did not know Hammy well but I feel like I did. Legends do not die… they live on forever!
Long live the Hammy
