Tax Information…New Stimulus Package
Ok, so most of you have probably already done your taxes. And to you I say congratulations!
As you all know congress passed a new economic stimulus package that will give most people a little more cash in their pockets come tax season. Instead of speaking my mind about what “I” think about this idea, I thought I’d post a link to some information about what this actually means and how it might affect you.
You can find a 5-page summary of common issues/questions about the stimulus package from your good friends at Elliott Davis (fyi - this links to a pdf file, and it’s virus free!).
Also, just remember that the IRS will never ask for personal or tax-related information via the phone or via email. Also, don’t believe the hype of someone telling you that they can get you your stimulus refund check early. The rule of “if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is” applies here, so try not to get taken advantage of or fall prey to some scam.
One last tax update….there’s still no word from the IRS on the validity of writing off your anti-zombie preparedness kit as a tax deduction. We’re still at work lobbying for this, but for now your stockpile of guns, chainsaws, crosses, stakes, rocket launchers, holy water, viruses, and Woodford Reserve are still not tax deductible for the sole purpose of self-protection from zombies.

I’d better be able to write off my zombie apocolypse supplies. It would be a shame if the Gov’t didn’t help stimulate the survival of man.

My stockpile of guns, chainsaws, rocket launchers, and Woodford Reserve were filed this year as work related expenses. I even counted the mileage going to and from the liquor store and ammo barn.
THANKS TURBO TAX!!!!

If you worked for an oil company you could probably write it off but the survival of the comman man is not in the cuurent administrations agenda
