Slot Machines are Addictive
As I sit here at the airport in Las Vegas I dwell in the lost gambling money that I could have had. If I would have followed my senses I would be leaving Vegas with $450 in proffit instead of $250. It is just so f’n addictive. However, I do count my blessings that I am leaving with as much as I have, b/c I easily could have lost it all. I am avoiding the slots which are scattered all over the f’n airport. My flight is in a hour and a half… hopefully I can make it with out going back. The machines will undoubtedly take it all and then some! What is the most somebody here has lost gambling? Knowing this group I would suspect somebody has lost hundreds before if not more. I am glad there are not casinos all over the Atl.

Coming out 250 up as far as i’m concerened is a good time. Hell as long as you break even you are winning when it comes to gambling! I’m a pretty timid gambler. I generally don’t have a lot of money to loose so i bet small. I think the most i lost in a night was only like 50 bucks.

Yeah the most I’ve lost is $75-$100, but I agree that coming out with anything is good.
The rush of winning is what gets people, always looking for that rush…

I would “wager” to say that I have lost a couple of hundred dollars over the course of history. I tend to lose about 50 bucks and quit every time I go.
I have been up before and ridden a 5 dollar bill to almost 150 dollars, but lost in in about 10 min once I went cold. Can you tell I am a cheap ass?
Anyway, Vegas is great. If this site ever takes off, we will all fly out and hit the strip!

Oh, I thought of something that was pretty cool while I was in Vegas a few weeks back….
I was sitting there in the Playboy club and noticed a guy that was fairly young looking playing at the $100 min bet blackjack table. Anyway, he was making all kinds of noise, so I walked over to watch. I got to talking with one of his friends, as I watched him lose almost 3000 dollars over the course of 15 minutes.
Evidently the guy was a young internet entrepreneur, and had money to blow. In fact he was paying some other guy, who was sitting next to him, to guide him and help him win. The story is that the guy sitting next to him was some sort of famous blackjack / poker player who frequented ESPN and had numerous TV appearances. I didn’t notice him, but it was cool to watch……even though they lost.

All good stories start with “I was sitting there in the playboy club”

I dont think that I have ever lost more than $50 myself, but I easily made that up with free drinks. I am a pretty conservative gambler, too. I lost more money at the the Coyote Ugly inside New York New York than I did at any table. Vegas is awesome!
